Why try it
Recommendations
The king of Catanese street food, characterized by its typical pointed shape reminiscent of Mount Etna. It consists of a dome of saffron-scented rice enclosing a rich, thick meat ragù with chunks of meat (not minced), peas, and caciocavallo. The whole thing is expertly breaded and fried in this historic shop, operating since 1837, resulting in a golden, crispy exterior and a soft interior.
