Founded in 1977, the historic Pub La Virgola is the place where the legendary Zingara Ischitana was literally invented. This famous street-food toasted sandwich is prepared by grilling two thick slices of local pane cafone, traditionally filled with sweet prosciutto crudo, fresh fiordilatte, tomato slices, lettuce, and a thin layer of artisanal mayonnaise.
