Open since 1939, Antica Hostaria Romanesca is one of the last authentic family-run trattorias overlooking the piazza. Far removed from tourist conventions, it offers checkered tablecloths and handwritten menus. Its signature dish is Tonnarelli alla Gricia: fresh homemade pasta tossed to perfection with crispy guanciale, pecorino romano and black pepper. A masterpiece of creaminess and savoriness, served in generous portions.
