The most iconic dessert of the Pisa area, enclosed in a shell of crumbly shortcrust pastry decorated with the characteristic "bischeri" (the shortcrust pastry points along the edge). The rich filling is a triumph of textures and flavors: a soft mixture of rice, dark chocolate and cocoa, enriched with raisins, candied fruit and prized local pine nuts. The flavor is deep, aromatic and authentically homemade.
