Open since 1957, Da Corrado is considered the historic pioneer who introduced mussel soup to the Via Foria area. This monumental dish is served piping hot over a base of crispy freselle meant to soak up the flavorful broth. The recipe calls for fresh veraci mussels, tender octopus, maruzzielli (sea snails), and the ever-present "o' russ", the traditional spicy chili oil that crowns the dish with a decisive burst of flavor.
