At the heart of Trieste’s tradition, Buffet da Pepi preserves the city’s Austro-Hungarian soul. Founded in 1897 on the initiative of Pepi Klajnsic, then under the name Pepi S’ciavo, it serves pork cooked in a cauldron according to the ancient local version of boiled meat in broth: a simple, distinctive cuisine rich in memories.
